Use of the Library




Checking out Books

You must have a [Personal Library Card].
Please bring ID that can verify your address such as driver's license, health insurance card or other official ID when you make an application for your card.
You can borrow 24 books for 3 weeks.
[Personal Library Card] can be used at Yawata Public Library, Otokoyama Public Library, and Mobile Library.

Returning Books

Please return all books to the "return" counter.
You may return books at either Yawata Public Library, Otokoyama Public Library or Mobile Library.
If the library is closed, you may simply drop your book into the "return post" next to the entrance.
You may also drop books off at the "return posts" located at Yawata Tourist Information Center(next to Yawatashi station), the Hashimoto Public Hall, or Minoyama Community Center.

<Caution>
Audio-visual materials must be returned to the library counter to avoid damage.

Requests

If there is a book you wish to read, please make your request known to us.
For books that are checked out, we will let you know as soon as they are returned, and if we do not carry the book you wish to read, we will either borrow it from another library or purchase one in order to best meet your needs.

Internet

If you make an account with the library, you can search the archives for books, check when the mobile library is scheduled to come your way, or register a password and see where your status on borrowed books is at, and reserved archived books.

For the physically impaired

If you cannot come to the library, we can bring books to you!
A proxy can also borrow books for you.
If you are visually impaired, we can bring you books in braille, or audio books.

Other

・Conference Room Use (Book clubs and such)
・Copying regulations concerning library materials. (paid and within the limit of copyrights.)
